<\/p>\nChocolatey, Colourful, Popping and So Easy it’s ridiculous… Bonfire Night Bark is the Perfect Last Minute Treat!<\/p>\n

So the other day I was craving something chocolatey… and with not much time to spare but a serious craving, I managed to come up with this little baby! I realise I have a ‘Chocolate Bark’ recipe for nearly every single theme possible now such as my Easter Bark<\/a> and Christmas Bark<\/a>, but Bonfire Night Bark? YES PLEASE.<\/p>\n Imagine – sat round a fire pit, watching fireworks, cuddled up in a blanket, ‘sharing’ (I’d struggle) a bar of this deliciousness! This is why I alllllways say this season is my favourite!<\/p>\n You can easily whip up this beauty as a last minute tasty treat – or prep them slightly in advance, smash up into pieces, and bag them up for a cute little gift of Bonfire Night Bark to hand out! It’s up to you!<\/p>\n Chocolate bark is one of the easiest and simplest treats you can make. You can add pretty much any delicious treat to it, whether that be your favourite chocolate bar, sprinkles, sweets or even some of your favourite fruit… AAAAANYthing you fancy, and exactly what you’re craving!<\/p>\n Chocolate bark is also great for cake decorating, using shards of it to stick into my Chocolate Drip Cake<\/a> for example, yum. However, I wanted to push the boat out a little with this one, and just drench it in popping candy.<\/p>\n I personally make chocolate bark all of the time as I’m so busy at the moment, and it is soooo quick and easy, but when it comes to themed chocolate bark?! How FUN.<\/p>\n My brother however, hates popping candy… I didn’t tell him that it was on this though, so he had a nasty but hilarious surprise when he took a massive bite of one of the pieces! (My plan worked and I then had it all to myself) But anyway…<\/p>\n I will admit that there was a slight issue when testing this bake; the red food colouring just wouldn’t go red. I think I had maybe accidentally got some pink into the pot, my bad, but either way, the yellow and orange worked well!<\/p>\n I always try to use oil based food colourings now when I colour white chocolate as its apparently meant to work best (along side powdered colourings), but I clearly did something wrong. Ooops! However, the wonderful thing is, it still tastes chocolatey, poppy and delicious in this. Line a 9\u00d713\u2033 tray with parchment paper and leave to the side.<\/span><\/div><\/li>Melt the milk\u00a0chocolate\u00a0in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering\u00a0water, stirring gently until completely melted (don\u2019t let the bowl touch the water!), or alternatively, you can melt in the microwave in short bursts.<\/span><\/div><\/li>In a separate small bowl, melt the white\u00a0chocolate either over another pan of simmering water (same as above), or in the microwave in short bursts.<\/span><\/div><\/li>Separate the melted white chocolate into 3 different bowls and colour them red, orange and yellow for your fiery pattern!<\/span><\/div><\/li>Pour the melted milk\u00a0chocolate into your lined tray and spread so it's even.<\/span><\/div><\/li>Drizzle over the coloured white\u00a0chocolates and swirl it with the end of a skewer to make your pretty fiery pattern.<\/span><\/div><\/li>Evenly sprinkle over both of your popping candies and sprinkles.<\/span><\/div><\/li>Leave to set in the fridge.<\/span><\/div><\/li>Cut\/Break into shards and enjoy!<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\tNotes<\/h3>
