YES PLEASE.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Dessert for two&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p>I adore a simple dessert for two people, as often I am just wanting to make something delicious for my boyfriend and myself. Yeah, you can make the regular sized desserts and just freeze the rest, but sometimes you really do just want two portions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve made my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/2020\/02\/05\/cheesecake-for-two\/\">cheesecake for two<\/a> before, and my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/2023\/01\/27\/chocolate-cake-for-two\/\">chocolate cake for two<\/a>, but I wanted to do something indulgent and over the top for the festive period for a little treat, so here you have some Lindt chocolate fondants. It&#8217;s the luxury, the elite, the smooth chocolate that is rich but pleasant in every single way.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Lindt truffles are famous beyond words, and there isn&#8217;t often a year where I am not given a box as a present by someone in my life &#8211; and yes, I do eat them all immediately as you should. However, as they have that iconic luxury taste, come perfectly in the round shape, they are ideal for the job of going into the centre of a chocolate fondant like this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can use any Lindt truffle flavour that you prefer, there are so many now, but I went for the classic red packet. You can also use Lindt chocolate for the base mixture of the fondant, but you can also get away with the cheap supermarket stuff here. Something super delicious and decadent in under an hour? Yeah okay then.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth, and then leave to cool slightly before carrying on. You then add in the egg and egg yolks and mix in until smooth. Mix through the sugar and the plain flour again until smooth &#8211; I don&#8217;t gently fold or anything, but I do just do this in a bowl with a spatula as it&#8217;s so easy to make.<\/p>\n<p>Split the mixture between the two prepared moulds, and then push the frozen truffle into the middle. I tip my moulds onto my serving plate as they are quite delicate when still warm (as you want them to be). Cut into the pudding to get a centre of soft fondant as well as a melted Lindt ball?! It&#8217;s such a good mix.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can serve with a little ice cream for extra elegance or a drizzle of cream, or anything you like, or as they are.
