This time, it is my favourite baking equipment! This post is about all of the pieces of equipment I use every week, and often I use most of them every day!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I have, along side so many other bakers, SO MANY PIECES OF EQUIPMENT in my kitchen, and I have discovered what I love more than other stuff throughout the years &#8211; so I thought I would list it all for you here! I often get questions on what I use anyway, so I thought this is an easy post for you all to refer to if you ever wonder!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Equipment can vary depending on what part of the baking process you are in, so I have utensils, bowls, when you are baking, cake decorating, after baking and baking cups &amp; liners within this post, but if there is anything missing off that you are wondering about &#8211; comment below!! x<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Please note that these links are affiliate links so I will earn a commission from any sales through the links.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19871\" src=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment1-2.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment1-2-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>UTENSILS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37v6OQk\">Spatulas<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Spatulas are probably one of my most used utensils EVER.. and I just can&#8217;t possibly have enough of them in my kitchen at any one time. I use at least 20 <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37v6OQk\">spatulas<\/a> a day when I am developing recipes and you would be silly to not have many as well!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2KzSsF9\">Cookie scoops<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; cookie scoops, ice cream scoops, whatever you want to call them&#8230; I love them. I use 5cm cookie scoops ALL of the time for my cookies, also to portion cupcake batter into a baking cup, and when I am just eating ice cream. <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2KzSsF9\">The set of cookie scoops<\/a> has a slightly larger one which is good for bigger cookies, and so on!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3fF8gTq\">Measuring Spoons<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; these are some of the most important things you can have in a kitchen, as I use them for baking, cooking, and so on. <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3fF8gTq\">I love this shape measuring spoon<\/a> because they fit more easily into pots, and you can easily level them out.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/34ScCV5\">Cake Testers<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; one of the most important things I think anyone can use in cake baking, and I have many. Some people insert a knife into their bakes to test them, but in my opinion, you shouldn&#8217;t &#8211; you need a smaller surface area tester such as <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/34ScCV5\">these cake testers<\/a>!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3I4czDP\"><strong>Pastry Brush<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; I think these are the sort of utensils that can be forgotten about &#8211; and yet I use mine all the time. You can get silicone ones as I have in the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37v6OQk\">spatula set<\/a> above, or you can get <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3I4czDP\">this style<\/a> &#8211; these are definitely my favourite.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3FrC5RY\">Citrus Juicer<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; This one may be a bit more niche, but worth it still in my opinion. I find it the easiest to use and control compared to the ones you press down on &#8211; and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3FrC5RY\">I love it<\/a>!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3zVreOZ\">Grater<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; I obviously use a grater quite a lot when baking &#8211; and whilst <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3tGMcAa\">this one<\/a> may be slightly better for grating something such as carrot, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3zVreOZ\">this one is the best<\/a> for everything else &#8211; grated citrus fruits, grating nutmeg etc&#8230; I am obsessed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/34lC8yH\">Whisks<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211; I think a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/34lC8yH\">balloon whisk<\/a> is extremely underrated sometimes, and it is often easier to use compared to using an electric mixer. I use my balloon whisk often to whip my cream for my cheesecake decoration and it&#8217;s just so quick and easy!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3p6vepk\"><strong>Rolling Pin<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; obviously a key part in any kitchen&#8230; whether you are decorating a cake, making scones, making cinnamon rolls etc&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3p6vepk\">a rolling pin<\/a> should be in every single kitchen!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19872\" src=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment2-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment2-2.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment2-2-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BOWLS &amp; JUGS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38dPzC1\"><strong>Pyrex bowls<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; This may seem like a silly thing to list, but honestly&#8230; these are so good! I always use these bowls in my videos when I am making recipes to mix stuff in, and the varying sizes are so useful! I have used them for years, and will always be obsessed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3nqjAHs\">Measuring bowls<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Also when making my videos, or even just baking&#8230; I like to weigh out my ingredients. I use a mixture of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3nqjAHs\">large glass bowls<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3FrPgCi\">medium glass bowls<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/33C9Z92\">small glass bowls<\/a> and I love them. It makes life so much easier if you pre-weigh your ingredients into these sort of bowls!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38jHKdY\"><strong>Pyrex jugs<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; These are something I use often for measuring, but also for what I make my ganache drips in, for when I am melting chocolate&#8230; and so on! They are obviously also SO useful for measuring liquids for recipes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3tLQI03\"><strong>Ceramic bowls<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; I have a mixture of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3tLQI03\">mason cash bowls<\/a> in my equipment, because they are beautiful, and heavy duty. I love them &#8211; and they can come in such big sizes, which is great when making things like rocky road as you need a lot of mixing space!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19873\" src=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment3-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment3-2.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment3-2-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>WHEN BAKING<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2LIaHZv\"><strong>Sugar\/Jam thermometer<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Often something I recommend to use&#8230; a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2LIaHZv\">sugar thermometer.<\/a> They are super useful when you are making classic fudge recipes, jam, and so on! They usually clip onto your pan as well so you don&#8217;t have to hold them!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3pa5oAN\"><strong>Thermometer<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; a general thermometer is also really really useful &#8211; I use these if I want to make things and test the temperature quickly, but also <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3pa5oAN\">I use this thermometer<\/a> often when cooking because it really is so good!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/KitchenCraft-MasterClass-Celsius-Thermometer-Stainless\/dp\/B000YJDHYS\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?crid=1ZIB1CAX7XLPE&amp;dchild=1&amp;keywords=oven+thermometer&amp;qid=1608290242&amp;sprefix=oven+thermo,aps,428&amp;sr=8-7&amp;linkCode=sl1&amp;tag=janespati04-21&amp;linkId=ad35ce59c000dafcddc9c025b5478504&amp;language=en_GB\"><strong>Oven thermometer<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Something I recommend ALL OF THE TIME. I say about these over and over and over because I want to make sure your cakes are baking as good as they possibly can&#8230; and an <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38jFhAe\">oven thermometer<\/a> is the way to go! Some ovens can be out by 50\u00bac sometimes, so it&#8217;s worth it!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3HsluhS\"><strong>Weighing scales<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; I feel like this is an obvious one&#8230; but <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3HsluhS\">weighing scales<\/a>. I cannot stress the importance enough of using weighing scales to make sure that your ingredients are measured correctly! I use this set of scales at the moment and I love them!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3I5stxP\">Bulldog clips<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; A handy trick when you are prepping a bake &#8211; clip the parchment paper to the sides of the tin (such as when making millionaires shortbread) and the paper won&#8217;t budge! SO much easier!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/31X5DZQ\"><strong>Sieves<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Something that everyone should have in their baking cupboard&#8230; a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/31X5DZQ\">sieve.<\/a> No, I don&#8217;t sieve too many things, but these are ESSENTIAL when making bakes such as macarons. You need to sieve those ingredients!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19874\" src=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment4-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment4-2.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment4-2-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BAKING CUPS &amp; LINERS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icedjemsshop.com\/product-category\/baking-cups\/regular-baking-cups\/?ref=13\"><strong>Baking cups<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; MY FAVOURITE THINGS EVER! If you have followed me for a while, you know I am utterly obsessed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icedjemsshop.com\/product-category\/baking-cups\/regular-baking-cups\/?ref=13\">baking cups<\/a>. There are spotty ones, plain ones, stripy ones, and so on&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icedjemsshop.com\/product-category\/baking-cups\/regular-baking-cups\/?ref=13\">I love baking cups<\/a>. I use them all of the time as I love them!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icedjemsshop.com\/product-category\/baking-cups\/tulip-muffin-cases\/?ref=13\"><strong>Muffin cases<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; I love <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icedjemsshop.com\/product-category\/baking-cups\/tulip-muffin-cases\/?ref=13\">tulip muffin cases<\/a> the most because they are just beautiful &#8211; but you can use regular muffin cases too. I just love anything muffin size!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icedjemsshop.com\/shop\/rainbow-cupcake-cases-144-pack\/?ref=13\">Cupcake cases<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; if you don&#8217;t want to go down the baking cup route, I recommend cupcake cases like these&#8230; because they bake well! Some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icedjemsshop.com\/shop\/rainbow-cupcake-cases-144-pack\/?ref=13\">cupcake cases<\/a> really don&#8217;t bake well (poor quality!) which is unfortunate, but I do love these ones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/32d1FMK\"><strong>Round parchment circles<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; This maaaay seem lazy&#8230; but they are worth it. I bake so many 8&#8243; cakes, I just whack these straight in the tins and save myself a tonne of time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3FE3jEN\"><strong>Baking tray parchment<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; I am just obsessed with these too, I won&#8217;t lie. They are perfect for my large baking trays!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3p8IuK1\">Parchment\/Greaseproof<\/a> <\/strong>&#8211; not something I ever really though about before, but the amount of questions I get about this! I always use the same brand as I find it by far the best, and it really is so good! I promise!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19875\" src=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment5-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment5-2.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment5-2-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>AFTER BAKING<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/34VgAfP\"><strong>Cooling rack<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; probably something every baker in the world has in their cupboards right?! You need to cool your bakes correctly guys, it will help so much!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3I1HFMs\"><strong>Cake leveller<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; These are necessarily essential, but when people ask &#8216;how are you cakes so level?&#8217; this is why! They are easy to use, and the best way to get a perfectly level cake.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3KeTUay\"><strong>Clingfilm<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; again, a weird one to suggest&#8230; but I love this <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3KeTUay\">clingfilm<\/a>. It&#8217;s worth it for when you have to let bread proof, when you are wrapping your cakes for freezing, etc!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3nqk1S6\"><strong>Foil<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; same as above &#8211; so so useful for when you are baking\/cooking, and when you are freezing cakes! I tend to double wrap my cakes in clingfilm, and then wrap in <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3nqk1S6\">foil<\/a>!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19876 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment6-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment6-2.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.janespatisserie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Equipment6-2-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>CAKE DECORATING<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2LNKkBD\"><strong>Offset spatula\/Palette knife<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; These are SO IMPORTANT. I cannot stress this enough&#8230; I use these all of the time. I have at least 5 in my drawer at any one time because I am always using them. They are great to use to spread buttercream, chocolate, ganache etc! Little <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2LNKkBD\">palette knives<\/a> (for or offset spatulas as some people call them) are great!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3alfKJF\">Small cake scraper<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; I will bang on and on about <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3alfKJF\">cake scrapers<\/a> until the end of my cake decorating days, because I need them all of the time. They are so useful for spreading and making a cheesecake top even, or starting a crumb coat for a cake! They are the dream.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Scraper-Measuring-Smoother-Buttercream-Polisher\/dp\/B07XLP3JPY?dchild=1&amp;keywords=large+metal+scraper&amp;qid=1623327606&amp;sr=8-12&amp;linkCode=sl1&amp;tag=janespati04-21&amp;linkId=cc18f25360b3e05b27d65d2fe22685de&amp;language=en_GB&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\"><strong>Large cake scraper<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; when I want to make a full drip cake, a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/37uBEbw\">large metal cake scraper<\/a> is all I ever want. The metal part of it is useful, as you can heat the scraper to get a smoother finish on your cakes, but also, the sharp 90\u00ba edge to the scraper helps endlessly when decorating cakes!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/388OUle\"><strong>Turntable<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; One of the most important things for cake decorating&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/388OUle\">a turntable<\/a>. They are practically vital if you want to have a perfectly smooth edge to your cake, because the moving of the cake along with your scraper is essential. They are just also useful for decorating anything else!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38hjMAk\"><strong>Cake dowels<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Not that I have posted many stacked cakes on my blog&#8230; but <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/38hjMAk\">dowels<\/a> are so important. If you want to make a tiered cake, you MUST STACK WITH DOWELS.
